Job Title: Release Engineer

Location: Thrissur


Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Release Engineer to join our engineering team. As a Release Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the release lifecycle of our software products, ensuring that code is properly built, tested, and deployed to various environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation, continuous integration, and deployment processes, as well as experience working with development and operations teams to ensure seamless releases.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Release Planning & Coordination:
  • Coordinate and manage the release process for software products, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of features and fixes. Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to establish release timelines, track progress, and manage risks. Prepare release notes and other documentation for stakeholders.
  • Build and Deployment Management:
  • Maintain and improve the build and deployment pipeline, ensuring the automation of code integration, testing, and deployment. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with builds and deployments. Implement continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) practices to streamline release processes.


Qualifications:


  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in release engineering, DevOps, or software development. Strong experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN). Hands-on experience with build tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo, GitLab CI) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef). Familiarity with cloud services and deployment platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell). Knowledge of containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
