Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a General Manager Finance at Sunways Global located in Mumbai. The General Manager Finance will be responsible for overseeing financial statements, conducting financial analysis, managing finance and accounting activities, and ensuring compliance with internal controls.


The role also involves providing strategic financial guidance and support to the Responsibilities:


Financial Strategy Development:

1. Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives and growth plans.

2. Provide strategic guidance on capital allocation, investment decisions, and risk management to optimize financial performance.


Financial Planning and Analysis:

1. Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads to develop accurate and achievable financial plans.

2. Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify opportunities for cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and operational efficiency improvements.


Financial Reporting and Compliance:

1. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.

2. Prepare financial statements, management reports, and presentations for internal stakeholders, board members, and external investors.


Cash Flow Management:

1. Manage cash flow effectively to support ongoing operations, investments, and capital expenditure initiatives.

2. Implement robust treasury policies and procedures to mitigate financial risks and maximize liquidity.

3. Strategic Partnerships and Stakeholder Management:

4. Build and maintain relationships with financial institutions, investors, and other key stakeholders to secure funding and support business growth.

5. Collaborate with external auditors, legal counsel, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance and transparency.


Financial Performance Monitoring:

1. Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators to assess the company's financial health and performance.

2. Provide regular financial updates and insights to the executive team and board of directors to support decision-making processes.


Team Leadership and Development:

1. Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

2. Provide guidance and professional development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the finance team members.



Qualifications


1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CA preferred.

2. Proven experience (12+ years) in a senior financial leadership role, preferably within the renewable energy or related industry.

3. Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

4. Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.

5. Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.

6. Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.

7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence

and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

8. Proven leadership experience with a track record of building high-performing

teams.

9. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing

priorities and market conditions.
