Solar Plant Design Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop solar power plant layouts, including site evaluation and selection.
  • Create detailed engineering drawings and schematics for solar power systems.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, including resource assessment and energy yield predictions.
  • Select appropriate solar equipment and technologies to optimize plant performance.
  • Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, and other stakeholders to ensure design specifications are met.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of installed systems, providing recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, and documentation for projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in solar plant design, with at least 3 years in the industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and solar design tools (e.g., PVsyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope).

Skills:

  • Solar Plant Design: Creating layouts and detailed engineering drawings for solar power systems.
  • Feasibility Studies: Conducting resource assessments and energy yield predictions.
  • Equipment Selection: Choosing appropriate solar equipment and technologies.
  • Compliance: Ensuring designs meet relevant codes and standards.

Preferred:

  • Certification in Solar Energy or Renewable Energy.
  • Experience with large-scale solar projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in using advanced solar design software.
