Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Assistant/Deputy Manager - Legal with a minimum of 3 years of experience in contract management, drafting, vetting, and negotiating various types of agreements. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of legal principles, an eye for detail, and excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
This role is essential in ensuring the organization’s legal interests are protected and compliant across all business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Drafting and Vetting: Draft, review, and vet a wide range of contracts, including but not limited to vendor agreements, service agreements, lease agreements, shareholders’ agreements, joint venture agreements, NDAs, and MOU’s, ensuring they align with company policies and legal requirements.
- Negotiation: Lead/participated in negotiations on contract terms and conditions to safeguard the company’s interests, resolving contract-related differences/disputes or ambiguities effectively with internal and external parties.
- Legal Compliance: Ensure contracts and agreements comply with relevant laws and regulations, keeping abreast of changes in legal and regulatory requirements.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate potential legal risks in agreements, providing guidance on potential liabilities and suggesting alternatives to address risks.
- Legal Advisory: Offer legal advice and support to various departments on contractual matters, interpretation of legal documents, and other ad hoc legal issues.
- Documentation Management: Maintain and organize legal files and documentation in an easily retrievable format, ensuring data confidentiality and security.
- Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external counsels, and relevant third parties for contract approvals, amendments, and execution.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); Diploma/Certifications in Corporate Laws is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in legal drafting, contract negotiation, and legal compliance.
- Strong knowledge of contract laws, legal terminology, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and negotiation.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
