Our team in Mumbai currently has an opening for a Planning Manager (SCM).

Purpose of Position:

This role is responsible for performing sales analysis and forecasting to ensure effective inventory planning, maintain inventory control, and manage the working capital of Brenntag India.


Responsibility Deliverables (Key Result Areas - KRAs)

Design and generate statistical forecasts for multiple SKUs.

Recommend adjustments to forecasts and inventory targets based on inputs from the sales/commercial team.

Continuously improve forecast accuracy using various techniques and tools, in collaboration with commercial teams.

Prepare and share various inventory-related reports with relevant stakeholders.

Ensure the processing of EVAs (Economic Value Additions) as per standard protocols and timelines.

Conduct monthly S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) meetings with all Business Units, managing SLOB (slow-moving and obsolete inventory), inventory turns, and forecast accuracy.

Focus on continuously improving working capital efficiency, while reducing aging and expiring goods.

Collaborate with procurement, logistics, quality, and production teams to ensure timely availability of materials and products, minimizing stockouts.

Process and account for write-offs in a timely and compliant manner.


Must be:

Proficiency in SAP MM module (S3 or S4 Hana)

Expertise in statistical forecasting tools

Advanced knowledge of Excel (including complex functions and data analysis)

Strong command of MS Office suite

Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills

Experience in demand planning and forecasting

Expertise in supply planning processes

Strong business and commercial acumen

Exceptional command of the English language, both written and verbal


Key Qualifications Required:

A degree from a reputed college/university.

Preferably an MBA/PGDBM in Operations, or a diploma in Supply Chain Management from a reputed institution.


Experience Requirements:

Minimum of 6 years of experience in demand and inventory planning within an international manufacturing or retail organization.

Expertise in SAP S/4HANA or SAP S3.

Strong experience with various forecasting tools and advanced Excel
