Job Description:

  • Looking for an ETL developer who will be responsible for pulling employee and related retail store data from the database and transforming that data into comprehensive reports and knowledge on star and snowflake schemas.
  • Job responsibilities include designing and creating the data warehouse and all related extraction, transformation and load of data functions in the company.
  • After the groundwork has been laid, developers also must test their designs to ensure the system runs smoothly.
  • Must be an expert at taking a big-picture view of a company's data situation and knowledge on Data modeling. Need to be able to read, analyze and digest what a business wants to accomplish with its data, and design the best possible ETL process around those goals.
  • Though the roles and responsibilities of an ETL developer require someone with a broad technical knowledge, it also requires someone with a good set of communication skills and an analytical mind.
  • ETL developer is responsible for working in a team environment as it builds the data warehouse, must be able to communicate goals and instructions in a clear and efficient manner.
  • In addition, developers frequently work with the business side of the company to determine the best course of action when designing the system. This means the developer needs to be able to listen to and interpret what the business side wants to see accomplished, discuss details in an easy-to-understand way, and then translate it all into nuts-and-bolts technical output.


Must-haves:

  • Around 8 years of experience in IT Industry and experience in Informatica Power Center development
  • Experience working with Oracle & Teradata.
  • Extensive experience in developing mapping, session, worklet and workflow version 9
  • Hands on development in Informatica Performance tuning
  • Advanced SQL and Unix Scripting skills
  • Proficiency in scheduling tools like Control-M is a must
  • Work experience in Agile methodology is highly preferred
  • Expert in software engineering tools and best practices
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Solid understanding of Data Modeling concepts
  • Retail related data warehousing experience a plus
  • Experience in cloud data integration is preferred
