Overview:

1707 Capital, a distinguished family office is launching a new Analytics consultancy. We are seeking a visionary Founder to lead this new venture. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in data science and business intelligence, combined with strong business acumen and a proven track record in business development and project execution. This role involves establishing and growing the consultancy, leading technical project execution, and expanding the client base. You will be provided with access to our entire portfolio of companies, an existing team, and ongoing projects to support your growth.

We seek a candidate with grit, strong execution skills, and an entrepreneurial spirit. The ideal candidate is highly adaptable, with significant consultancy experience and a proven track record in startups. They should be able to persevere through challenges and demonstrate the ability to build and grow a company from the ground up.


Key Responsibilities:

·      Technical Consulting:

o  Provide expert consulting to design and implement technical solutions that optimize client operations and drive business growth, leveraging expertise in data storage, processing, and integration technologies (e.g., SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics).

o  Utilize advanced data analytics and machine learning frameworks (e.g., Python, R, TensorFlow, Microsoft Azure Machine Learning) to develop clear, data-driven strategies for clients.

o  Engage directly with C-suite executives to influence top-level strategy with compelling, data-backed recommendations, utilizing powerful data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

·      Leadership and Vision:

o  Lead the establishment and growth of the Analytics consultancy.

o  Develop and execute a strategic vision for the consultancy, aligning with 1707 Capital’s objectives.

o  Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration within the team.

·      Business Development:

o  Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the consultancy's client base.

o  Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including C-suite executives.

o  Drive revenue growth through strategic marketing, networking, and client engagement.

·      Project Delivery:

o  Oversee the delivery of high-quality analytics projects to medium and large enterprises.

o  Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

o  Provide strategic insights and actionable recommendations to clients based on data analytics.

·      Team Leadership:

o  Lead and mentor a team of consultants, data scientists, and analysts.

o  Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

o  Ensure the continuous professional development of team members.

·      Client Management:

o  Manage relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.

o  Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional services to existing clients.


Qualifications:

·      Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Data Science, IT, or related field.

·      Experience working in or building a startup.

·      Minimum of 8 years in strategic consulting or a related field, with significant experience in data analytics and business transformation.

·      Deep expertise in data science and business intelligence, with hands-on experience in analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, SAS) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

·      Proven experience in delivering strategy projects with a strong focus on analytics.

·      Extensive experience across the data stack, including:

o  Data storage and management: SQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL), NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra), data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Azure Synapse Analytics).

o  Data processing and integration: ETL tools (e.g., Apache Nifi, Talend), data integration platforms (e.g., Informatica, MuleSoft), Azure Data Factory.

o  Data analytics and machine learning: Machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn), big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark), Microsoft Azure Machine Learning.

o  Cloud computing: Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), including Azure Data Lake.

·      Excellent experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics).

·      Proven experience in delivering strategy projects with a strong focus on analytics.

·      Excellent knowledge and experience across the tech stack, including cloud computing and database storage.

·      Proven experience in business development and client relationship management.

·      Demonstrated success in leading and managing teams.

·      Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop and implement data-driven strategies.

·      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to influence senior executives.
