International Technical Support- Windows


Experience : 1 to 5 years


Essential Job Functions –

1) Monitoring of all Windows servers for performance issues & stability concerns.

2) Administer web users & hosting accounts.

3) Regular application installations, configurations, & day-to-day administration.

4) Troubleshoot hardware & software issues as they arise.

5) Work with IIS6 & IIS7 on a daily basis to support customers & ensure maximum uptime.

6) Staying familiar with new versions of applications used on servers.

7) Working with & troubleshooting all of the following, including, but not limited to: SMTP, POP, FTP, SSL, HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, RDP, TCP, ICMP & UDP.

8) Use knowledge of each of the above-listed technologies as related to the issue at hand.

9) Work with basic applications & their ports: backup, MSSQL, MySQL.

10) Work with permissions in Microsoft Server 2003/2008.

11) Work with, troubleshoot, & diagnose ASP, ASP.NET, PHP, CGI, & Perl languages.

12) Document issues & associated resolutions to problems.

13) Expected to train other employees in the use of advanced programs.

14) Knowledge of Virtualization Technologies, DNP, VMware, HyperV,

15) Antivirus management Symantec,


Skill-set requirement –

1) Excellent written & verbal communication skills in the English language.

2) Two or more years of Microsoft Web Server administration.

3) Willing & able to cover other shifts if needed.

4) Dependable to be at work during assigned shifts & to complete work as expected.

5) Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice.

6) Ability to work well with a team in a fast paced, constantly changed environment & follow instructions from supervisors & senior colleagues.

7) Experience with documenting procedures.

8) Experience with a web hosting control panels, Plesk 8.6 or later & DNP/WebSitePanel is a plus, but not required.

9) Be willing to work with & learn Server 2012/16/19

Advanced knowledge of Virtualization technologies like VMware, HyperV Clusters
