International Junior Sales Engineer – Pharma Projects

Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled International Sales Engineer to join our client, focusing on expanding our HVAC, Cleanroom Solutions, and pharmaceutical equipment and services in the African market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales engineering within the pharmaceutical cleanroom industry and a proven track record of successful market expansion and sales growth in international markets.
Key Result Areas:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies for the assigned territories (Africa) to achieve sales targets.
- Appoint capable agents in respective countries and guide & assist them to achieve targets.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with current and potential clients in the pharmaceutical industry across the designated markets.
- Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs, actively seeking out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to existing and prospective customers.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with clients and stakeholders.
- Coordinate sales projects to meet deadlines and budget requirements.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure client needs are met and to understand and capture requirements for product development.
- Offer after-sales support services and provide technical back-up as required.
- Analyze costs and sales, and report to senior management on sales results and productivity.
- Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts using key account metrics.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a sales engineer in the pharmaceutical industry, with specific expertise in HVAC, Cleanroom, and pharmaceutical equipment and technologies.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics and requirements in Africa.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build rapport and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; technical understanding must be able to explain technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.
- Ability to travel extensively across the designated regions.
- Fluent in English.
