Job Description: We are looking for a highly motivated Backend Developer Intern to join our dynamic team. This is an unpaid internship position with the potential for equity and a competitive pay package based on performance. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, eager to learn, and ready to take on challenges in a fast-paced startup environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our development team to design, develop, and maintain backend services for our college application platform.
  • Assist in the integration of third-party APIs and services.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our coding standards and practices.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure the smooth operation of the platform.
  • Contribute to the development of new features and enhancements.


Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of backend development principles and technologies.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
  • Familiarity with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.


Nice to Have:

  • Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Previous experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
