As a Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Specialist, you will be responsible for improving the effectiveness of our eCommerce websites through data-driven strategies. Your role involves analyzing user behavior, identifying conversion barriers, and implementing solutions to enhance purchase rates. You will work as a freelancer on US-based or international projects, leveraging your expertise in CRO to drive measurable improvements.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough analyses of website performance to identify conversion barriers and opportunities.
  • Implement and manage A/B testing, multivariate testing, and other CRO methodologies.
  • Analyze data from various sources, including Google Analytics, heatmaps, and user session recordings.
  • Develop and execute strategies to optimize the user experience and drive eCommerce purchase rates.
  • Collaborate with web developers and designers to implement optimization strategies and changes.
  • Create and maintain detailed reports on conversion metrics and testing results.
  • Utilize tools such as Optimizely, Hotjar, Crazy Egg, or similar to gather insights and drive improvements.
  • Apply data-driven decision-making to enhance user experience and drive higher conversion rates.
  • Map customer journeys and analyze user behavior to refine strategies and address conversion issues.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in CRO to continuously improve strategies.


Requirements & Skills

  • Proven experience in Conversion Rate Optimization, particularly for eCommerce websites.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and using tools like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with CRO tools such as Optimizely, Hotjar, Crazy Egg, or Google Optimize.
  • Experience handling US-based or international eCommerce projects, with a focus on non-Indian markets.
  • Knowledge of website analytics, A/B testing, multivariate testing, and user behavior analysis.
  • Ability to create and manage detailed reports and communicate insights effectively.
  • Proficiency in using sheets and mapping tools for data analysis.
  • Experience with personalization and targeting strategies to improve conversion rates.
  • Basic knowledge of technical SEO and its impact on conversion rates.
  • Strong understanding of the marketing funnel and how CRO strategies fit into different stages.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience in presenting findings to diverse audiences.
  • Continuous learning mindset to stay abreast of the latest CRO trends and best practices.
