Job Purpose :


To Co-ordinate between various agencies such as GFL’s Process Engineering Group, Project Engineering Group, Appointed Engineering Consultants, GFL’s Commercial Department, EHS Department, Vendors, Appointed Contractors etc; for a group of Fluorospeciality projects, and getting a consolidated project schedule prepared in the form of micro plan, and resource plan, dovetailing the activities of all the above agencies involved to arrive at an optimal Project schedule.


Controlling the micro plan and resources to achieve the Optimal project schedule and the project costs.


Apart from above scope, Mechanical Integrity of existing site production facility as well as Quality assurance of newly procured material will be part of scope.


Major Accountabilities :


  1. Obtain micro plan and schedule of deliverables from various agencies such as GFL’s Process Engineering Team, Detail Engineering Team, Appointed Project Engineering Consulting Company, GFL’s Commercial Dept., Equipment Vendors, Construction Contractor ,for the given project/(s).
  2. Daily review of progress Vs the microplan. Identify slip up of any activity and devise course corrective action and recovery plan with the involvement of the concerned agency or Dept.
  3. Ensure work flow and document flow between agencies and Departments are timely and without slack.
  4. Prepare daily progress report for the management review.
  5. Generate MIS from SAP and review reasons for deviation. Facilitate appropriate and cost effective decision in case of change of scope. Facilitate course corrective action and recovery plan.
  6. Needs to carry out various NDT activities of equipment’s / civil & structural building / Electrical / Instruments on planned basis to monitor & necessary corrective / preventive actions to improve performance / reliability of plant production.
  7. Standardization & finalization of material procurement activity considering review of PDS / MDS / QAP / Drawing approval / Technical comparison & Technical recommendation / inspection at vendor premises for critical equipment’s / inspection of material at site receipt / Equipment installation qualification.


Technical Skills favorable :


  1. Demonstrated ability to integrate the developed technology with commercial plant.
  2. Ability to assimilate and understand scientific and technological issues.
  3. Thorough understanding of Process Engineering and Project Management Techniques.
  4. Shutdown planning and execution related activities.
  5. Knowledge of plant equipment and constructional details of plant machinery.
  6. Knowledge of Modern Maintenance Techniques.
  7. Ability to solve complex machineries and equipments problems through scientific and proven problem solving techniques.
  8. Good knowledge of SAP system and ability to perform and implementation of PM and reliability module in SAP
  9. Support for Energy, Quality management and statutory compliances
  10. Support for Spare management through SAP
  11. Knowledge of Energy conservation measures, techniques for analysis of the abnormality.

Educational Qualifications :


Total 18-20 years hands on experience in handling Engineering functions unit of large and complex chemical Plants.
