A US based well-funded product-based startup looking for Highly talented Customer Engineering Manager/Sr. Manager for the following roles.


Position Overview

We are seeking a Customer Engineering Manager/Sr. Manager with hands-on expertise in cache memory solutions and a strong background in customer engineering for products like Genova from AMD or Snapdragon from Qualcomm. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience owning and managing BSP (Board Support Package), SDKs, and full software stacks for complex semiconductor solutions. In this role, you will start as a technical expert engaging directly with customers and transition into a leadership role, building a team to scale customer support efforts globally.


Key Responsibilities

  • Hands-On Technical Contributions
  • Work closely with customers to integrate our cache memory products into their architectures, addressing both hardware and software aspects.
  • Provide end-to-end ownership of BSP, SDKs, and software stacks, ensuring seamless integration into customer systems.
  • Debug and resolve complex system-level issues related to memory hierarchy, cache coherence protocols, and performance optimization.
  • Use advanced debugging tools (e.g., JTAG, simulators, logic analyzers) to troubleshoot and refine system designs.
  • Collaborate with internal R&D teams to ensure product functionality meets customer needs and use cases.
  • Customer Engagement
  • Act as the primary technical interface for customers integrating our solutions, providing hands-on support and guidance.
  • Conduct technical workshops, product training sessions, and on-site visits to ensure customer success.
  • Establish strong customer relationships by addressing their challenges with tailored solutions and timely resolutions.
  • Team Building & Leadership
  • Build and lead a high-performing customer engineering team to support global customers as demand scales.
  • Mentor and guide team members in technical troubleshooting, customer engagement, and best practices.
  • Develop team processes for efficient handling of customer requests, escalations, and project delivery.
  • Project & Relationship Management
  • Manage multiple customer projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of solutions.
  • Represent customer feedback to internal teams, influencing future product enhancements and feature developments.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and organizational goals.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
  • Develop technical documentation, including BSP guides, SDK reference materials, FAQs, and application notes.
  • Share insights and lessons learned with internal teams to continuously improve product design and support processes.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in customer engineering for advanced semiconductor solutions, preferably with AMD Genova, Qualcomm Snapdragon, or similar platforms.
  • Proven experience in owning and managing BSP, SDKs, and software stacks for hardware platforms.
  • Deep understanding of processor architectures, memory systems, and cache performance optimization.
  • Proficiency in debugging tools and techniques for hardware-software integration, including JTAG, simulators, and profilers.


Preferred Skills

  • Strong familiarity with system-on-chip (SoC) architectures, memory controllers, and cache coherence protocols.
  • Experience supporting high-performance computing (HPC), AI/ML applications, or other performance-intensive workloads.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience building and mentoring technical teams.
  • Strong project management skills with experience using Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with global customers.
