Job Overview


The Associate Director of Engineering - Frontend Technologies will lead the frontend mobile apps and web for the Hotels Supply team, a critical unit within the Hotels technology division at MakeMyTrip. This team plays a pivotal role in enabling MakeMyTrip hotel partners to actively onboard, manage price/inventory, content, track orders, and settlements. We are seeking a passionate leader who excels in building elegant and scalable technology solutions.


Responsibilities:


Lead and inspire a team of frontend mobile and web engineers within the Hotels Supply team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

Define and drive the technical roadmap and vision for mobile and frontend development

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and backend engineering, to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Architect and design robust, scalable, and maintainable mobile frontend systems and components using Reactjs and ReactNative

Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality frontend features and enhancements, leveraging best practices in software development, testing, and deployment.

Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and guidelines to ensure consistency, reliability, and performance across frontend codebases.

Provide technical leadership and guidance in resolving complex technical challenges, debugging issues, and optimizing frontend performance.


Responsibilities:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Proven experience (12+ years) in mobile and web frontend development, with expertise in React.js and React Native

Extensive experience in a leadership role overseeing frontend teams

Strong understanding of frontend architecture, design patterns, and best practices for web and mobile platforms

Proficiency in building and deploying mobile applications using React.js And React Native with a focus on enhancing user experiences.

Experience working in an agile development environment, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and iterative development.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Passion for building elegant and scalable technology solutions that drive customer satisfaction and business growth.
