Assistant Manager- HR


Job Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment and Staffing:

- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract skilled workers and professionals.

- Conduct interviews, assessments, and background checks.

- Manage onboarding processes for new hires.

2. Employee Relations:

- Act as a mediator to resolve employee conflicts and grievances.

- Foster a positive working environment and maintain high levels of employee morale and engagement.

- Ensure adherence to company policies and labour laws.

3. Training and Development:

- Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and performance.

- Coordinate and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars.

- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.

4. Performance Management:

- Develop and manage performance appraisal systems.

- Provide support and guidance to managers on performance-related issues.

- Implement strategies for employee recognition and rewards.

5. Compliance and Legal:

- Ensure compliance with labour laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.

- Maintain and update employee records in accordance with legal requirements.

- Handle disciplinary actions and terminations as needed, ensuring due process is followed.

6. Compensation and Benefits:

- Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees.

- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.

- Conduct salary benchmarking and manage compensation structures to remain competitive.

7. Workforce Planning:

- Analyse and forecast workforce requirements to support business goals.

- Develop and implement succession planning and talent management strategies.

- Manage workforce diversity and inclusion initiatives.

8. Health and Safety:

- Ensure workplace safety standards are met and maintained.

- Coordinate health and safety training and awareness programs.

- Investigate and report on workplace accidents and incidents.

9. HR Metrics and Reporting:

- Develop and analyse HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.

- Prepare and present reports on HR activities, trends, and issues to senior management.

10. Strategic HR Planning:

- Align HR strategies with organizational goals and objectives.

- Participate in the development of business strategies and provide HR insights and recommendations.

- Lead change management initiatives and support organizational development projects.

11. SAP Software Utilization:

- Utilize SAP software for HR management tasks including employee records, payroll, performance management, and reporting.

- Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the SAP system.

- Provide training and support to other HR staff on the use of SAP software.


Qualifications and Skills:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree or HR certifications (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) can be an added advantage.

- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in HR, preferably within the manufacturing sector.


- Skills:

- Strong understanding of labour laws and regulations.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficient in HR software, specifically SAP, and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.

- Leadership and team management capabilities.


Compensation:

- Salary: INR 8-9 lakhs per annum.
