Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a strong background in fire alarm systems, fire suppression systems, and overall fire protection. The role involves significant travel across the country and requires the ability to work six days a week.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage fire safety and security projects from inception to completion.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards.

System Design and Implementation:

  • Design and implement fire alarm systems, fire suppression systems, and other related safety measures.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess needs and recommend appropriate solutions.

Installation and Commissioning:

  • Supervise the installation of fire safety systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Perform commissioning activities, including system testing, troubleshooting, and final handover to clients.

Technical Support:

  • Provide technical support to clients and ensure all systems are operating effectively.
  • Conduct training sessions for clients on the proper use and maintenance of fire safety systems.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including design plans, testing results, and maintenance records.

Travel:

  • Travel extensively to project sites across the country as required.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in fire safety and security, with a focus on alarm systems, fire suppression systems, and fire protection.
  • Proven experience in project management and commissioning of fire safety systems.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NFPA, local fire codes).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work six days a week.


Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in fire safety or related fields (e.g., UL systems).
  • Experience with advanced fire detection and suppression technologies.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software.
  • Candidates will need to undergo police verification before joining and renew it every six months.
