We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior QA Engineer with 4-5+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, and automation. The ideal candidate should have strong programming and problem-solving skills and be proficient in tools and technologies such as Java, Selenium WebDriver, Postman, Rest Assured, SQL, GIT, JIRA, and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of AWS and GCP is a plus.

This role will be critical in ensuring the quality of our software applications, developing and executing automated tests, and collaborating with development teams to ensure high standards of product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute automated test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver for web and mobile applications.
  • Design and implement test cases for API testing using Postman and Rest Assured.
  • Perform manual and automated testing of web applications and APIs, ensuring product quality and reliability.
  • Write and execute SQL queries for database testing and validation.
  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, focusing on quality, automation, and performance.
  • Utilize Git for version control and manage test repositories.
  • Use JIRA for issue tracking, sprint planning, and collaboration with development teams.
  • Contribute to the creation and improvement of CI/CD pipelines to streamline test automation and deployment.
  • Identify, report, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution in collaboration with development teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers) to understand business requirements and ensure effective testing strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and tools, ensuring continuous improvement in test automation and overall QA processes.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Programming: Strong programming skills, particularly in Java.
  • Automation: Experience with Selenium WebDriver for automated testing of web applications.
  • API Testing: Hands-on experience with Postman and Rest Assured for API testing.
  • Databases: Experience with writing SQL queries for database validation and data integrity checks.
  • Version Control: Proficient in using Git for source code management.
  • Issue Tracking: Familiarity with JIRA for bug tracking and project management.
  • CI/CD: Experience with continuous integration and delivery pipelines for test automation.
  • Testing Methodologies: In-depth understanding of software testing methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Agile, Scrum).

Good to Have:

  • Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP for application deployment and testing environments.
  • Other Testing Tools: Knowledge of additional testing tools and frameworks is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4-5+ years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
