Job Summary:

 

Managing the Emission team of Analysts and Associates over monitoring and managing regulatory and commercial Emissions compliances from the fleet. Also responsible for delivering fact-based analysis for vessel and fleet Emission performance using vessel performance platform as well as optimized solutions to improve commercial operations.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage Emissions Team of Analyst involved in Emission management services.  
  • Responsible for interpreting and updating Team on various National and International regulations related to all maritime GHG emissions.
  • Overseeing Fleet Emissions data quality, EU ETS, CII & Fuel EU Maritime Calculations, and timely response to Customer queries for Fleet Emissions Mgt.
  • Responsible for day-to-day predictions, voyage simulations with Emissions deductions (Off hire / Under Perf / claims) and regulatory correction factors are correctly applied for calculations.
  • Verify Vessel emissions data with the goal of reducing Emissions / fuel consumption and provide insights for conduct RCA for variance in Emissions reported or beginning to trend.
  • Provide constructive feedback on business requirements related to fleet Emissions in collaboration with our Product development Team for ongoing and future Geo Serve products.
  • Assistance to GM & Emission Manager for the development to and monitor KPIs to benchmark the Fleet under CII, EEOI, EU ETS and Fuel EU Maritime as needed.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for providing end to end solution in opening EU ETS MOHA and Trading accounts for EUETS compliance. 
  • Endeavor to automate manual data processes and ensure continuous process improvement to support the development of the next generation application/user platform.
  • Work with multiple stakeholders (like Ops / Admin / Tech / Chartering) in complex situations and ensure collaboration with Emissions Mgt. team for bringing positive results in an ever-growing, result oriented Emissions and Sustainability Industry.
  • Assistance for conducting Emissions Training and workshops as per Company requirements.

 

Qualification and Experience:

 

  • Graduate level education in Marine Engineering / Nautical Science / Business Management.  
  • Marine Engineer or Navigating Deck officer with minimum 3 years of total sailing experience.
  • Additionally experience of at least 3 years in Operations or Environment related function ( Emissions / Performance) within shipping is mandatory.
  • Previous experience as Commercial Operator will be a positive.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

 

  • Accurate and precise understanding of various National and International regulations related to all maritime GHG emissions is paramount.
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills along with understanding and proficiency in analytical tools.
  • Good problem-solving skills, positive attitude, and flexibility to adapt between different projects and tasks.
  • Strong communication skills with effective time / team management skills are expected.
  • The candidate should be able to work independently on individual projects but also feel comfortable collaborating and communicating across the GeoServe Teams and other functions.
