Job Description:

We seek a dedicated and experienced Infrastructure Operation Operations Manager (Server and Storage) to lead a team in managing and maintaining the organization's server and storage infrastructure. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of our server and storage environment, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.


Responsibilities:

Manage the daily operations of the server and storage infrastructure, including monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure maximum uptime and performance.

Lead a team of server and storage administrators, providing direction, guidance, and support to ensure effective execution of operational tasks and projects.

Develop and maintain operational procedures, documentation, and policies related to server and storage management, including configuration standards, incident response protocols, and change management processes.

Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to support business initiatives, projects, and technology integration efforts.

Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance requirements related to server and storage environments, including access controls, data encryption, and vulnerability management.

Coordinate with business stakeholders and project teams to plan and execute server and storage upgrades, migrations, and capacity expansions.

Monitor and analyse server and storage performance metrics, identifying trends, issues, and opportunities for optimization and improvement.

Manage vendor relationships, including procurement, contract negotiation, and service-level agreements for server and storage hardware, software, and services.

Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing activities, ensuring the availability and integrity of critical data and systems during an outage or disaster.

Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the status of server and storage operations, including key performance indicators, projects, and initiatives.


Skills:

Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.

Experience with server virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.

Proficiency in storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, and storage protocols (e.g., Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS).

Knowledge of industry best practices and standards related to server and storage management, security, and compliance.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Proven track record of successfully managing server and storage projects, budgets, and vendor relationships.

Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.



Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. (B.Tech/B.E.)


Preferred: Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are a plus.
