Salary : Rs. 19,000 - Rs. 21,000

Job Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Captain to join our team at Block 108, a vibrant and customer-focused dining establishment. As a Restaurant Captain, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring excellent service delivery, managing the front-of-house operations, and providing a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Customer Service Excellence:
  • Greet guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable dining experience.
  • Take charge of guest seating arrangements, ensuring tables are prepared and service is efficient.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and courteously, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  1. Team Leadership & Supervision:
  • Supervise and guide front-of-house staff (waiters, servers, hosts) to ensure exceptional service standards.
  • Lead by example in providing superior service and maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Conduct regular briefings and training sessions to ensure the team is knowledgeable about the menu, daily specials, and service procedures.
  1. Service Flow Management:
  • Oversee the smooth flow of service, ensuring that food and beverages are served promptly and according to guest expectations.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Monitor the dining area for any issues and proactively address potential service delays.
  1. Operational Support:
  • Assist the Restaurant Manager with daily operational tasks, such as staff scheduling, inventory checks, and stock control.
  • Ensure the restaurant is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Help with opening and closing duties, ensuring all front-of-house areas are properly set up or cleaned down.
  1. Upselling & Revenue Generation:
  • Promote and upsell menu items, specials, and beverages to guests to increase sales and enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Assist guests with menu recommendations and ensure they are aware of new items or promotions.
  1. Communication & Coordination:
  • Maintain clear communication between front-of-house and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations.
  • Report any issues or customer feedback to the Restaurant Manager for further action.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Captain, Head Waiter, or similar role in a fast-paced, high-end dining environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • In-depth knowledge of food, beverages, and wine pairings is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to handle guest complaints professionally and effectively.
  • Knowledge of restaurant management software is an advantage.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further hospitality training or certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory or customer-facing role in the hospitality industry.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and carry heavy trays or items as necessary.
