Job Title: Storage Administrator

Location: Pune (Hybrid)


About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Storage Administrator with strong expertise in NetApp and Nasuni storage solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of storage architecture, data management, and virtualization, with Nutanix skills considered a significant advantage. You will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our storage infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Storage Management: Administer and manage NetApp and Nasuni storage environments, including installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Performance Tuning: Monitor storage performance and conduct capacity planning to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to storage systems, ensuring minimal downtime and impact on business operations.
  • Security: Implement and manage security measures to protect data and storage systems from unauthorized access or breaches.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of storage configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, including network, server, and application teams, to support overall IT infrastructure.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in storage administration, with a strong focus on NetApp and Nasuni solutions.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in managing NetApp storage systems, including ONTAP, SnapMirror, and SnapVault.
  • Hands-on experience with Nasuni cloud file services.
  • Experience with Nutanix Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of storage networking, including Fibre Channel and iSCSI.
  • Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions and best practices.
  • Certifications: NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) or similar certifications are a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other storage technologies and platforms is a plus.
  • Experience in scripting or automation to manage storage environments (e.g., PowerShell, Python).

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
