You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality parts and components according to specifications. The ideal candidate should have experience in CNC machining, be detail-oriented, and possess strong technical and problem-solving skills.


Responsibilities:

  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the machining operations required.
  • Set up CNC machines by installing and adjusting cutting tools, fixtures, and workpieces.
  • Load raw materials into the machine and secure them properly.
  • Program CNC machines using CAM software or manual input based on job specifications.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and adherence to quality standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines, such as cleaning and lubricating components.
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot issues with CNC machines and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Document machine settings, tool changes, and production data accurately.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in CNC machining is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining principles and processes.
  • Ability to set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines independently.
  • Knowledge of G-code programming and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidCAM) is desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machine malfunctions.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift/move heavy materials and work in a standing position for extended periods.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with CNC machining centers, lathes, or milling machines.
  • Familiarity with different materials used in machining (e.g., metals, plastics).
  • Experience with quality control methods and tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and machining techniques.
