We are seeking to recruit Procurement Engineers based in Pune, India to support our ongoing Projects growth. Procurement Engineers will play a key role in purchasing and expediting materials and/or services for the procurement and delivery of equipment related to water and wastewater treatment plants and to investigate worldwide cost-effective purchasing and freight solutions.


Key duties and responsibilities for Procurement Engineers include but aren’t limited to:


  • Project materials management including finalization of Purchase orders based on buyout item quotes and internal fair price working for the fabricated items.
  • Ensuring goods are ready for delivery as per schedule and the terms of shipment.
  • Updating and recording information within Dynamics ERP system.
  • Preparing reports and analytics
  • Supporting Proposals team in floating Requests to Quotations to vendors and fabricators during bidding.
  • Following up with vendors /fabricators and expediting quotes
  • Identifying and developing new vendors / fabricators including equipment and items.
  • Managing logistics and arranging for Import and Export documentation
  • Commercial and contractual evaluations of technical offers to achieve best lifecycle cost
  • Negotiate with selected vendors to ensure project KPIs are achieved including optimised cost (total value), warranty, contractual terms, payment milestones and delivery lead times
  • Manage vendor performance and risk including delivery risk, quality assurance and timely communication with project team


Position Requirements:


  • Qualification in Procurement/Supply Chain, Logistics or related fields
  • Water treatment experience (desirable).
  • At least 4 years’ Procurement experience.
  • Order and contract management experience
  • Experience in global procurement (India/MENA/S.E.Asia/Europe regions)
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to safety and environmental practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
