Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Finance Team Leader with 3-5 years of relevant experience to join our team. In this role, you will manage statutory filings, ensure compliance with tax laws, and oversee the preparation of financial statements. Your expertise in financial regulations, strong problem-solving abilities, and commitment to accuracy will be essential in delivering high-quality financial services to our clients.


Responsibilities:

- Client Management:

- Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding statutory filings, compliance, and financial statements preparation.

- Provide expert guidance and support to clients on financial and compliance matters.

- Statutory Filings and Compliance:

- Ensure timely and accurate filing of statutory forms and returns with the Registrar of Companies (ROC) and other government agencies.

- Stay abreast of changes in the Companies Act, income tax provisions, TDS regulations, GST laws, and other relevant statutes.

- Provide guidance to the team and clients on compliance requirements.

- Financial Statements:

- Lead the preparation and review of complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

- Ensure adherence to financial reporting standards.

- Tax Compliance:

- Supervise the preparation and filing of income tax returns.

- Oversee compliance with tax laws and regulations.

- Manage TDS compliance activities, including deduction, payment, and filing of TDS returns.

- Provide guidance on resolving TDS-related issues.

- GST Compliance:

- Ensure strict compliance with GST regulations.

- Oversee the timely filing of returns, reconciliation activities, and resolution of GST-related queries.

- Team Leadership:

- Oversee junior team members in the statutory filing process.

- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.

- Collaborate with internal teams to address legal or compliance issues related to statutory filings and financial statements.

- Provide strategic input and solutions.

- Financial Advisory:

- Deliver accurate and reliable financial information to clients.

- Proactively address client queries or concerns.

- Provide strategic financial advice where necessary.

- Documentation and Records Management:

- Maintain meticulous documentation and records related to statutory filings, compliance, and financial statements.

- Ensure accessibility and compliance with confidentiality requirements.

- Process Improvement:

- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the finance operations function.

- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.


Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- 2-3 years of progressive experience in finance operations, statutory filings, and financial statements preparation, preferably in a CA firm environment.

- Expert knowledge of the Companies Act, income tax provisions, TDS regulations, GST laws, and financial reporting standards.

- Proficiency in accounting software and tools, such as Tally, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.

- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications.

- Strong problem-solving abilities and capability to address complex financial and compliance issues.

- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and delivering exceptional service.

- Experience in building and maintaining strong client relationships based on trust and expertise.
