Opened in 2019, Hideaway is a kickback boozer that hosts eclectic independent artists and modern jazz bands. 

Set in the beachside village of Vagator, Hideaway,is placed away from the hustle of the popular party district, and offers an unmistakable cocktail and dining experience. 


The food and beverage program is inspired by flavors from the team’s childhood and travels. With a strong focus on commonly available, yet distinct local ingredients, it’s paired with international influences while attempting to keep it as simple and fresh as we can. 


In the last few years, Hideaway has opened up its doors and has hosted bars such as Little Red Door (Paris), Law and Order (Amsterdam), Smoke and Bitters (Sri Lanka), Cat Bite Club, Nutmeg and Clove (Singapore), and Asia Today (Bangkok) in our endeavor to bring the finest global cocktail experiences to our shores.


Hideaway was listed #66 Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2023 and  #5 India’s 30 Best Bars 2024.


Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Captain at Hideaway Cafe & Bar. The Senior Captain will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bar, managing and training the bar staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining inventory and supplies. The Senior Captain will also be responsible for creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for guests and ensuring a smooth and efficient dining experience.


Qualifications

  • Experience working in the hospitality industry, preferably in a bar or restaurant setting
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and solve problems quickly
  • Attention to detail and a strong sense of professionalism
  • Ability to work well in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
