Job Description: Professor of Computer Science

Responsibilities:

  • Cutting-Edge Research: Conduct groundbreaking research in a key area of Computer Science, such as:
  • Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning: Deep learning architectures, natural language processing, computer vision, robotics.
  • Data Science & Analytics: Big data management, data mining algorithms, predictive modeling, data visualization.
  • Systems & Networking: High-performance computing, cloud computing, cybersecurity, network protocols.
  • Theory of Computation: Algorithm design, complexity theory, cryptography, formal methods.
  • Human-Computer Interaction: User experience design, accessible interfaces, human-robot collaboration.
  • Software Engineering: Software development methodologies, programming languages, software testing, software architecture.
  • Inspiring Instruction: Design and deliver engaging undergraduate and graduate courses in computer science. Supervise student research projects, fostering their intellectual growth and professional development.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Contribute to departmental initiatives, serve on university committees, and actively engage in professional service within the computer science community.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field.
  • A substantial record of peer-reviewed publications in top-tier journals and conferences.
  • Proven excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to secure external research funding from agencies like NSF, NIH, and industry.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
