Required Technical Skill Set** : Backup Administrator-Veeam ,Commvault , Storage Administrator -Dell EMC Unity & Powermax, NetApp, Pure Storage, HP, Hitachi


Must-Have** :

Proficiency in Backup and Storage administration with good troubleshooting Skill.


Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role as storage administrator :

  1. In-depth knowledge of storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and object storage
  2. Proficiency in storage management tools and platforms
  3. Strong understanding of data backup and recovery strategies
  4. Administer and maintain storage systems, including monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high availability.
  5. Perform regular capacity planning and forecasting to anticipate future storage requirements
  6. Building, Managing, Supporting & Monitoring all installed hardware systems and infrastructure
  7. Review and influence new and evolving design, architecture, standards, and methods for operating services and system
  8. Diagnose bottlenecks for the full stack and provide recommendations to overcome the bottlenecks as an interim work around, while a long-term solution is investigated
  9. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills


Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

  1. Setup and configure the Commvault and Veeam backup software for all environments
  2. Management of the Master server and the Media server
  3. Configure backups for all the Devices/ applications
  4. Define and implement backup and retention policies to ensure data is protected
  5. Monitoring backup jobs, ensuring successful completion of the backup jobs
  6. Troubleshoot the issues related to backup
  7. Optimize backup and recovery performance
  8. Maintain the security measures to protect backup data from unauthorized access, ensuring compliance
  9. Working with different teams such as network, OS and application to ensure the integration and operation of the environment
  10. Regularly conduct backup and recovery tests to verify the integrity of data backup and the recovery process
