Position Summary:
Lightworks Mindfulness Pvt Ltd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Sales Head to lead the sales efforts for our unique mindfulness curriculum product, meticulously aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 guidelines in India. This role demands a leader who not only excels in revenue generation and strategic sales but also embodies the principles of mindfulness and compassion. The ideal candidate will have a startup mentality, a deep commitment to mindfulness practices, and a passion for transformative education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement a robust sales strategy tailored to the Indian education market, focusing on NEP-aligned mindfulness curriculum products.
- Drive revenue growth through innovative sales approaches, identifying new markets, and expanding existing customer bases.
- Set and achieve sales targets, ensuring alignment with company goals and values.
- Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead and inspire a sales team with a focus on mindfulness, compassion, and integrity.
- Foster a positive and supportive team culture that encourages personal and professional growth.
- Provide training and mentorship to the sales team, helping them embody mindfulness principles in their interactions.
- Market Development & NEP Alignment:
- Identify and analyze market trends within the education sector, particularly in relation to NEP 2020.
- Position the mindfulness curriculum product as a critical component of holistic education under the NEP framework.
- Work closely with educational institutions, government bodies, and NGOs to advocate for the inclusion of mindfulness practices in schools.
- Relationship Building:
- Build and maintain strong, compassionate relationships with key stakeholders, including educators, school administrators, and policymakers.
- Represent Lightworks Mindfulness Pvt Ltd at industry conferences, workshops, and other relevant forums.
- Collaborate with like-minded organizations to promote mindfulness education.
- Mindfulness Advocacy:
- Serve as a role model for mindfulness practices within the company and in interactions with clients and partners.
- Promote the benefits of mindfulness in education, emphasizing its alignment with NEP 2020 goals.
- Organize and participate in mindfulness workshops and training sessions to deepen understanding and commitment to the practice.
- Revenue Generation & Financial Management:
- Achieve and exceed revenue targets while ensuring the sales strategies align with the company’s mission of promoting mindfulness and compassion.
- Manage sales budgets, optimize resources, and ensure efficient use of funds to maximize ROI.
- Provide regular financial and sales performance reports to the executive team.
- Startup Attitude:
- Demonstrate agility, creativity, and resilience typical of a startup environment.
- Take initiative and be hands-on in driving sales efforts, from strategy development to execution.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to contribute to the overall growth and success of the company.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
- Experience:
- 15+ years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably in the education or wellness sector.
- Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience working with educational products, particularly those aligned with NEP 2020, is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Deep understanding and personal practice of mindfulness.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with an emphasis on empathy and compassion.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic thinking with a startup attitude, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
