Job Overview:

As a Generative AI Engineer at Xebia, you will be instrumental in developing and deploying advanced generative AI models and solutions. You will work on a range of tasks from implementing models and optimizing prompt strategies to handling document vectorization and indexing for Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). Your expertise in LangChain, Python, and cloud technologies will be crucial to delivering cutting-edge AI capabilities.


Key Responsibilities:

Model Development and Optimization:

Develop and implement generative AI models, such as transformers, GANs, and VAEs.

Fine-tune models to improve performance and adapt them to specific use cases.

Monitor and evaluate model performance, applying improvements as needed.

LangChain, LangSmith Utilization:

Use LangChain, LangSmith to integrate and manage multiple language models in AI systems.

Implement and maintain workflows and pipelines using LangChain, LangSmith to optimize model orchestration and prompt management.

Prompt Engineering and Methods:

Design and implement effective prompt engineering strategies to enhance model responses.

Experiment with and refine various prompt methods to suit different application needs.

Collaborate with team members to create and optimize prompts for various scenarios.

Document Vectorization and Indexing for RAG:

Apply document vectorization techniques to convert text documents into vector representations.

Develop and manage indexing methods to enable efficient information retrieval within RAG systems.

Integrate and optimize vector databases to support quick and accurate retrieval of relevant documents.

Technical Implementation:

Write and maintain clean, efficient Python code for model training, evaluation, and deployment.

Apply best practices in code quality, version control, and testing.

Cloud and Infrastructure Management:

Deploy and manage AI solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Ensure the scalability and reliability of AI systems in cloud environments.

Optimize cloud resource usage and manage associated costs effectively.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

Communicate complex technical concepts and results to non-technical team members and stakeholders.

Research and Development:

Stay informed about the latest advancements in generative AI and related technologies.

Participate in research activities and contribute to innovative AI solutions.


Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.

Additional certifications or relevant coursework in AI and machine learning are a plus.

Experience:

Proven experience in developing and deploying generative AI models.

Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangSmith, prompt engineering, document vectorization, and indexing for RAG.

Experience in working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and managing cloud-based infrastructures.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in generative AI models, including transformers, GANs, and VAEs.

Expertise in LangChain, LangSmith for managing language models and workflows.

Advanced knowledge of prompt engineering techniques and methods.

Experience with document vectorization techniques and indexing for RAG systems.

Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in relevant libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).

Familiarity with cloud-based services and infrastructure management.

Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
