The Job

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Knowledge of Advertising Mediums namely Television, Radio, Outdoor Media, Print Media and Digital Media.
  • Understanding client needs and making decisions in relation to media requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with media houses, media owners and the clients.
  • Deputize for account manager and handle client servicing where appropriate to ensure the client gets satisfaction in the work executed.
  • Contribute (sometimes lead) to client/media owner meetings
  • Keep abreast with media industry news and developments
  • Involvement in new business development/pitches/presentations
  • People Management – media executives, senior media executives and media planner/buyers
  • Scan the media marketplace to keep up-to-date on the latest media trends.
  • Ensure that key messages from the client get aligned with vital media strategies.
  • Negotiate with media channels to close competitive deals.
  • Execute the media campaigns for the clients.
  • Monitor offline campaigns, and report on results.
  • Appropriately manage the organization’s media budget.

The Profile

  • A self-starter who is passionate about media
  • Someone who wants to take ownership of role and drive results
  • An ambitious and driven individual who is not afraid of a challenge
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience
  • Fully conversant (planning and buying) across several media channels, including TV
  • Strong client relationships and experience of ownership of several accounts
  • Team management, developing and mentoring to ensure exceptional client delivery
