As the Head of Steam Turbine Service Engineering at Gas Services India, the role entails overseeing and directing the service engineering operations for steam turbines. With over 20 years of experience in steam turbine engineering, the position involves leading the Engineering team for the Service business, providing crucial engineering support to the steam turbine service units in India, and managing an engineering competency hub to support assigned global customer units and workload. 
Key Responsibilities: 1. Lead the Engineering team for the Service business.2. Provide crucial engineering support to the steam turbine service units in India.3. Manage an engineering competency hub to support assigned global customer units and workload.4. Collaborate with the global service engineering organization to plan service workload, share service knowledge and resources, and develop employees.5. Ensure 24/7 service support for the regional and global steam turbine fleet.6. Provide direction and leadership on service engineering topics for timely resolution of customer issues.7. Collaborate with colleagues from different functions such as Sales, Project Management, Field Service, Tendering, Execution, and Repairs.8. Participate in meetings with customers and suppliers.This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in engineering domain, and the ability to collaborate across different functions Locally & Globally to ensure efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction. What you bring:  •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.•Proven people management skills with experience in a service organization.•Experience and awareness of different service functions and ability to work across the functions to deliver solutions.•Service mindset, problem-solving abilities, customer-centricity and strong collaboration skills are essential.•Having a good level of experience in Service engineering and knowledge of manufacturing & assembly.•Preferable Experience in localization of Steam Turbine core machine and parts, reverse engineering.•Reasonable knowledge of Power plant operation, updated on the latest operational challenges in thermal power plants. •International work experience in a multicultural organizational environment is a plus.•know-how of steam turbine technology and extensive domain experience is an added advantage.•Knowhow on Engineering Tools•Fluency in English and excellent communication skills are required to work in a global team with a willingness to travel to domestic and international locations.
