SAP FICOConsultant/Specialist

Position Overview: The SAPFICO Consultant/Specialist is responsible for implementingconfiguring and supporting the Financial Accounting (FI) andControlling (CO) modules within SAP. This role involves workingclosely with finance teams to ensure that SAP solutions align withbusiness requirements as well as providing ongoing support andtroubleshooting.

KeyResponsibilities:

  1. SAP FICOImplementation:

    • Leador participate in SAP FICO implementation projects including systemconfiguration data migration and testing.
    • Gather business requirements and translate them intofunctional specifications.
    • Configure SAP FI(General Ledger Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable AssetAccounting etc.) and CO (Cost Center Accounting Profit CenterAccounting Internal Orders etc.) modules to meet businessneeds.

  2. System Configuration andCustomization:

    • Customize SAP FICO modules to enhance functionality andimprove processes.
    • Set up and maintainfinancial structures such as chart of accounts cost centers andprofit centers.
    • Configure integration withother SAP modules (e.g. MM SD) to ensure seamless data flow acrossthe system.

  3. Financial Reporting andAnalysis:

    • Develop andgenerate financial reports including balance sheets profit and lossstatements and cash flow statements using SAP tools.
    • Ensure that financial reports comply with relevantaccounting standards (e.g. GAAP IFRS).
    • Analyzefinancial data to support decisionmaking and provide insights tomanagement.

  4. Support andTroubleshooting:

    • Provide ongoing support for SAP FICO users addressingissues related to system functionality data integrity and financialprocesses.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technicalissues within SAP FICO modules.
    • Conduct rootcause analysis for system errors and implement correctiveactions.

  5. User Training andDocumentation:

    • Trainendusers and finance teams on SAP FICO functionalities andprocesses.
    • Develop and maintain detaileddocumentation including user manuals process flows andconfiguration guides.
    • Stay updated on new SAPreleases and enhancements and educate users on newfeatures.

  6. Integration andCollaboration:

    • Workclosely with other SAP module specialists (e.g. SAP MM SD) toensure smooth integration of financial processes across theorganization.
    • Collaborate with IT teams toimplement system upgrades patches and enhancements.
    • Coordinate with external consultants and vendors asneeded for specialized support.

  7. Compliance and RiskManagement:

    • Ensurethat SAP FICO configurations and processes comply with internalcontrols audit requirements and regulatory standards.
    • Assist in financial audits by providing necessary dataand reports from the SAP system.
    • Identify andmitigate risks related to financial data management withinSAP.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting FinanceInformation Technology or a related field.
  • SAPFICO certification is preferred.
  • 3 years ofexperience with SAP FICO modules including configuration andimplementation.
  • Strong understanding offinancial accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in SAP ERP systems and financial reportingtools.
  • Experience with data migration systemtesting and enduser training.
  • Excellentproblemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of ateam.
  • Knowledge of integration points betweenSAP FICO and other SAP modules (e.g. MM SD) is a plus.
