Job Description

Enables software developer success with Intel XPU platforms by supporting and or representing Intel one API software developer products, for example, compilers, runtimes, libraries, analysis tools, ML, AI, graphics, system bring-up, and debugging. Responsibilities may include technical consulting and support, training development and delivery, customer presentations, product direction, and requirements, as well as hands-on assistance in areas of code development, debugging, and or tuning and scaling of software applications. May also provide input to the software planning processes through technical, competitive, and customer technical requirements analysis.The customer Engineering team is in the Developer Software Engineering Division of the Software and Advanced Technology Group.We have an exciting position for a Software Technical Consulting Engineer to engage with our strategic customers to enable them with the Intel Platforms. Technical Consulting Engineers are focused on enabling internal and external customers, enabling them to get the best performance on Intel hardware via performance engineering through Intel Software tools for their applications. TCEs work as Trusted Advisors to our customers through expert technical consulting, support, training, and hands on assistance in areas of code development, debugging, optimization, and scaling software applications. TCEs may engage in activities such as workload development, performance tuning and competitive benchmarking for heterogenous hardware like CPU, GPU, etc. TCEs also partner with the sales and business development team and participate in customer visits. This is a critical role in Intel, which helps accelerate the time to market of Intel architecture-based solutions in a variety of market segments and helps improve software quality and performance based on customer feedback. The candidate is expected to infuse the voice of customers into the development teams, develop technical collaterals, and drive innovation. Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/ classes/ research and/or relevant previous job and or internship experiences.Minimum Qualifications:1)Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master degree with 3+ years relevant experience or PhD. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Mathematics or Physics or computational science or other relevant technical engineering discipline.2)This position demands to be in person at Client office every day or every other day etc.3)Following technical skills:oEngineering working experience with C/C++ languages.oIn-depth experience with one or more parallel programming technologies such as OpenMP, MPI, native threads, Intel Threading Building Blocks, Coarrays, etc.oGood knowledge of compilers like LLVM/GCC, Intel/AMD CompileroUnderstand compiler technology (pre-processing, lexical analysis, parsing, semantic analysis, IR, linking, loading and so on...)oBe able to read and understand assembly language.oHave an excellent debugging skill for large applications that may include parallel programming technologies.oAbility to triage, isolate and workaround compilation issues, linker issues and runtime issues (performance issues, functionality issues).oWorking knowledge of shell scripts and the GNU tool chain on Linux and/or familiarity with the Microsoft Visual Studio build environment.oFamiliarity with Operating Systems, Computer Architecture (and/or Intel CPU architectures) and Software Optimization 4) Knowledge of CPU/GPU architecture, multi-threading, vectorization.5) Ability to collaborate in international time zone. Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in high performance computing (HPC) segment or Enterprise computing or Client Service Providers (CSP) or Embedded/IOT.- Experience in GPU/Parallel Programing, such as OpenMP, OpenCL, CUDA- Experience with Intel Performance Analyzer VTune highly desired- Proven track record of analyzing and solving complex technical problems.- Precise attention to details and motivation to learn and improve the product performance.- Experience with performance libraries such as the Intel Math Kernel Library or Intel Integrated Performance Libraries, CUDA libraries- Customer facing experience- Ability to communicate with and present clearly to technical and non-technical audiences-Acquaintance with AI/ML/Deep Learning/Generative AI/LLM, AI-related tools, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and PySpark

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
