Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities -
Good Knowledge of API 682 & API 610 Reading drawing capabilities Technical background. People Skills: Good Collaborator
Typically, at least 2 years relevant experience in an application or development role, with extensive relevant product / equipment / industry knowledge
Review & processing of Application Requests.
Following standard techniques and procedures, select / apply standard or special products to meet customers' needs.
Liaising with Global Engineering Product Groups and other key stakeholders to provide ‘Right first time’ sealing solutions to customer requirement.
Generation of engineering proposals / specifications for standard or special products, including determining cost-effective materials for production.
Seal calculations (including leakage calculations, heat generation, balance temperature, flow rates etc.)
Use of CSTEDY & similar tools for simple design analysis.
Field troubleshooting, including analysis of problems / recommendation & implementation of appropriate solutions - typically working with more experienced engineering / service colleagues.
Seal failure analysis activities, including investigation / reporting / resolution.
Provide applications guidance to CAD Engineers to complete layout (GA) and detail drawings.
Detailed technical presentations to customers in order to support sales.
Manage and report personal workload, forecast own job lead-times to meet customer and departmental objectives.
Approve / reject purchase or manufacture of fabricated parts not to drawing specification.
