OverviewThe SalonAcademy Trainer plays a vital role in our organization by leadingthe training and development of salon professionals ensuring thatthey receive the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in theirroles. This position is crucial for maintaining high standards ofservice and expertise in our salons ultimately contributing to thesuccess and reputation of our brand.Keyresponsibilities
  • Develop and delivertraining programs for salon professionals including hairdressersestheticians and nail technicians.
  • Evaluate thetraining needs of salon staff and create customized training plansto address those needs.
  • Provide instruction onlatest salon techniques products andtrends.
  • Assess the performance of trainees andprovide constructive feedback andcoaching.
  • Collaborate with salon managers toidentify areas for improvement and tailor training programsaccordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with industryregulations and salon standards in all trainingactivities.
  • Maintain accurate records oftraining materials attendance and performanceevaluations.
  • Support the development of newsalon professionals through a comprehensive onboardingprocess.
  • Stay updated on industry developmentsand incorporate relevant content into trainingcurriculums.
  • Contribute to the creation andreview of salon policies and procedures to uphold qualitystandards.
  • Participate in the selection andhiring of new salon professionals.
  • Facilitateworkshops and seminars on customer service product knowledge andsales techniques.
  • Lead regional and nationaltraining events as required.
  • Mentor and guidejunior trainers within the Salon Academyteam.
Requiredqualifications
  • Bachelor s degree inCosmetology Education or a relatedfield.
  • Proven experience as a salon educatortrainer or similar role.
  • Demonstrated expertisein salon services including hair skin and nailcare.
  • Certification in training and assessment(e.g. TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training andAssessment).
  • Excellent communication andpresentation skills.
  • Strong leadershipabilities with a focus on inspiring and motivatingothers.
  • Understanding of adult learningprinciples and instructional designmethodologies.
  • Ability to create engaging andinformative training materials.
  • Proficiency inusing salonspecific tools products andequipment.
  • Proven track record in developingand implementing successful trainingprograms.
  • Knowledge of relevant health andsafety regulations in the salonindustry.
  • Detailoriented mindset with strongorganizational skills.
  • Ability to travel asneeded for training purposes.
  • Currentcosmetology license is preferred.
  • Experiencewith elearning platforms and virtual training tools is aplus.
