Job Description:

  • Werelooking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help build our Training& Coaching product.
  • Our ideal candidateshould have strong technical skills as an engineer and architect;understands how to build high quality customerfacing software; is ateam player who enjoys working collaboratively with DesignersProduct Managers and Engineers; is valuesdriven and cares deeplyabout culture is selfmanaged curious and resourceful.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop newcustomerfacing product features and clean reusable supportable andwelltested RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Bean SME and point of contact for SCORM implementation in thecompany.
  • Collaborate with frontenddevelopers/Product Managers to integrate userfacing elements withserverside logic.
  • Be responsible fordesigning developing and executing tests to verify that thesoftware meets the specified requirements and functions asintended.
  • Architect scalable and efficientdatabase schemas and queries to support application functionalityand performance.
  • Improve the performancescalability and efficiency of existing data services as well asimplementing enhancements to meet evolving business needs andtechnological advancements.
  • Conduct codereviews and provide constructive feedback to other team members tomaintain code quality and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologiesindustry trends and best practices in backend development tofurther enhance team capabilities and your own skills.
  • Drive crews technical vision and implementation strategyby mentoring and empowering team members.
  • Collaborate with the broader Engineering team on overalltechnical strategy processes and frontend infrastructure.
Requirements:
  • B.S./M.S. in ComputerScience or equivalent industry experience.
  • 610 years of relevant professional software engineeringexperience with backend technologies not includinginternships/coops.
  • Experience with serversidelanguages and frameworks such as Ruby Java Node.js Python orsimilar. Handson Experience in writing unit tests and integrationtests to ensure the quality and reliability of thecodebase.
  • Experience in developing andintegrating RESTful APIs in the application.
  • Solid understanding of relational and nonrelationaldatabases (e.g. MySQL PostgreSQL MongoDB).
  • Experience with code versioning tools like Git.
  • Experience working with CI/CD tools likeGithub BuildKite.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit:youre agile creative resourceful and tenacious as you solveproblems and achieve team and company goals.
  • Must have handson experience in working with SCORMRustici Engine AICC Xapi CMI LTI.
  • Must haveprevious handson experience in working with Webhooks.
  • Must have previous handson experience in working with anLMS company.
Good ToHave:
  • Experience inFrontend Framework React JS.
  • Familiarity inwriting Test Automation Code in TestCafe or Selenium.
  • Experience in containerisation and deploymenttechnologies Docker/CI/Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with SaaS products/Cloud Technologies likeAWS Azure.
