PositionOverview:
The role of a Security Guard is critical inensuring the safety and security of personnel property and assetswithin a designated area. Security Guards are responsible formaintaining a vigilant presence enforcing security protocols andresponding to emergencies as necessary.

KeyResponsibilities:
1. Surveillance: Conduct regularpatrols of the assigned area to detect and deter unauthorizedaccess suspicious activities or security breaches.
2.Access Control: Monitor entry and exit points verifying credentialsand controlling access to restricted areas as per company policiesand procedures.
3. Incident Response: Respond promptlyto alarms disturbances or emergencies taking appropriate action tomitigate risks and maintain order.
4. Report Writing:Document all securityrelated incidents observations and activitiesaccurately and thoroughly in written reports.
5.Customer Service: Provide courteous and professional assistance toemployees visitors and contractors addressing inquiries andconcerns in a timely manner.
6. Safety Measures: Ensurecompliance with safety regulations and protocols including fireprevention evacuation procedures and hazard recognition.
7. Equipment Operation: Operate security equipment such as CCTVcameras access control systems and communication devicesproficiently.
8. Collaborative Efforts: Coordinate withlaw enforcement agencies emergency responders and other securitypersonnel as needed to resolve security issueseffectively.
9. Training and Development: Participate inongoing training sessions to enhance skills in security procedurescrisis management and conflict resolution.
10. RiskAssessment: Conduct regular assessments of security risks andvulnerabilities recommending and implementing proactive measures tomitigate potential threats.

Qualifications:
High school diploma orequivalent; additional education or training in securityrelatedfields is preferred.
Valid security guard license orcertification as required by local regulations.
Priorexperience in security law enforcement or military service isadvantageous.
Strong observational skills and attentionto detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonalabilities.
Ability to remain calm and composed underpressure.
Physical fitness and ability to stand walk orpatrol for extended periods.
Proficiency in usingsecurity equipment and computer applications.

Working Conditions:
Security Guards may work invarious environments including office buildings retail storesindustrial facilities or outdoor venues.
Shift work iscommon including evenings weekends and holidays.
Depending on the location exposure to adverse weather conditions orhazardous materials may occur.
The role may involvestanding walking or patrolling for extended periods as well asoccasional lifting or carrying of heavy objects.
