Job Summary:

1. The Multimedia Content Designer will be an integral part of the Marketing and Communications team, responsible for creating visually compelling content to engage our university community and external audiences across various digital platforms. The primary focus will be on producing high-quality photos and videos for social media channels, as well as supporting the creation of marketing materials for university events and initiatives.

2. The person will also be working closely with the Centre for Teaching, Learning and Development and will be responsible for producing instructional videos, interactive presentations, and other digital learning materials to support classroom instruction and online courses.

Responsibilities:

- Capture high-quality photos and videos of campus events, student activities, faculty research, and other university-related content.

- Develop creative concepts and storyboards for multimedia projects.

- Edit photos and videos using industry-standard software to ensure professional quality and consistency.

- Manage and organize digital media assets in a centralized repository for easy access and retrieval.

- Provide support for live streaming and virtual event coverage as needed.

- Collaborate with faculty and subject matter experts to identify multimedia content needs for course materials and instructional resources.

- Design and produce instructional videos, animations, simulations, and interactive multimedia presentations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Design, Film Production, Visual Communications, or related field.

- Proven experience in photography, videography, and video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative and technical skills.

- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects) or similar multimedia editing software.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Knowledge of social media platforms and trends, with experience in creating content for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

- Understanding of branding principles and ability to maintain brand consistency across multimedia content.

- Experience with live streaming platforms (e.g., Facebook Live, YouTube Live) is a plus.

- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends to cover university events.
