JobSummary: The Network ManagementJava Developer is responsible for designing developing andmaintaining software solutions for network management systems usingJava. This role involves working on applications that monitormanage and optimize network performance and reliability as well asintegrating with various network devices andsystems.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • SoftwareDevelopment: Design develop andimplement network management software solutions using Java. Thisincludes developing network monitoring tools configurationmanagement systems and performance analysisapplications.
  • Integration:Integrate network management solutions with various network devicesprotocols and thirdparty systems. Utilize APIs SNMP and othernetwork protocols to facilitate communication and dataexchange.
  • PerformanceOptimization: Optimize networkmanagement applications for performance scalability andreliability. Conduct performance profiling and tuning to ensureefficientoperation.
  • Troubleshooting:Diagnose and resolve issues related to network management software.Implement effective solutions to address performance bottlenecksandbugs.
  • Documentation:Create and maintain technical documentation including designspecifications user guides and code comments. Document integrationprocedures and configurationsettings.
  • Testing:Develop and execute unit tests integration tests and system teststo ensure software quality. Participate in test planning andsupport quality assuranceefforts.
  • Collaboration:Work closely with network engineers system administrators and otherdevelopment teams to ensure software solutions meet business andtechnicalrequirements.
Innovation:Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in networkmanagement and Java technologies. Propose and implementimprovements to enhance functionality andefficiency.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education:Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or arelated field. Advanced degree is aplus.
  • Experience:Minimum of 35 years of experience in Java development with a focuson network management or related fields. Experience with networkprotocols and management systems ispreferred.
  • TechnicalSkills:
    • Proficiencyin Java programming and related frameworks (e.g. SpringHibernate).
    • Strongunderstanding of network protocols (e.g. TCP/IP SNMPHTTP).
    • Experiencewith network management tools and technologies (e.g. NetFlowWireshark).
    • Familiaritywith database management systems (e.g. MySQL PostgreSQL) andSQL.
Experiencewith version control systems such as Git orSVN

  • AdditionalSkills:
    • Strongproblemsolving and analyticalskills.
    • Abilityto work effectively in a collaborativeenvironment.
    • Goodcommunication skills both verbal andwritten.
    • Experiencewith web technologies (e.g. RESTful APIs web services) is a plusspecifically TMForumOpenAPIs
    • Exposureto ORAN SMO and nonRTRIC is an addedadvantage
