Role Profile:

The RoR Developer will be responsible for maintenance and development of our Document Management module. He / she will be designing both front end web architecture, backend development and ensuring the responsiveness of applications. You should be a team player with a knack for visual design and comfortable agile methodology for development. Exposure to DevOps, test driven development is desirable.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and trouble shooting existing web application
  • Design client-side and server-side architecture
  • Writing and maintaining reliable Ruby code
  • Write effective APIs
  • Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
  • Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
  • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software
  • Write technical documentation

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a RoR Developer or similar role, Ruby 2.7, Ruby on Rails 6 version
  • Experience developing web applications; experience with document management would be preferable
  • Familiarity with common stacks
  • Required skills in RoR Framework, PostgreSQL, Docker, Puma (Webserver), ActiveAdmin (Admin Panel), CanCanCan (Resource Authorization), Rspec (Tests), FaktoryWorker (Job Processor), Device (User Authentication)
  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks will also be considered
  • Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering
