PositionOverview:As a data engineer you will be wearmany hats but much of the focus will be on building out ourPython/Pyspark ETL processes and writing efficient SQL to builddata lakes data marts. Beyond technical expertise you will needsoft skills for clearly communicating highly complex data topics toorganizational leaders. Someone willing to willing to learn newtechnologies and assist sr data engineers in accomplishing work asa team. Essential Job Functions:
  • Gather data from primary andsecondary sources ensuring the uptodate databases and data systems
  • Work closely with our Product teams and datascience team for easy and trusted data that provide unique insightsinto our data
  • Build data pipelines that cleantransform and aggregate data from disparate sources
  • Develop data quality frameworks for ensuringdata can be trusted
  • Deploy data governancepolicies
  • Use agile software developmentprocesses to make iterative improvements
  • Define data work flows throughout the data system and to enable endto end of data analytics use cases implementation.
  • Qualifications/ Requirements:
  • Fouryear college degree or equivalentcombination of education and experience
  • Fouror more years of experience with Python Pyspark SQL
  • Familiarity with the cloud ecosystemspecifically Snowflake/ Azure / AWS
  • Communication skills especially for explaining technical conceptsto nontechnical business
  • leaders
  • Ability to work on a dynamic researchorientedteam that has concurrent projects
  • Experiencein building or maintaining ETL processes/Data lakes / Datawarehouses
  • Special Requirements:
  • The employee may be required to report to adifferent local office as a normal contemplated and mandatedincident of their employment
