This position involves working in the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Fire) Design Engineering Team at XS CAD’s Global Delivery Centre at Andheri in Mumbai.

XS CAD’s MEP Design & Engineering Team consists of skilled professionals including Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing Engineers with varied experience. This team at XS CAD delivers core Building Services Design Solutions to MEP Clients across the world including one of the largest. XS CAD has had the privilege of delivering MEP Services for hundreds of projects over the past 15 years including Hospitals, Airports, Stadia, Educational Institutes, Commercial as well as Residential Building Structures.

This position would require the candidate to work directly with leading MEP design consulting firms from Australia/USA/UK region who are involved in some of the flag ship projects of their region.

This job specifically involves the following key roles and responsibilities:
  • Reporting to the Team Leader of MEP Design & Engineering
  • Responsibility for the overall design of electrical systems & deliverables, including Concept Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Tender Design / Documentation (including Technical Specifications, BOQ, Schedules and Drawings)
  • Ability to design LV / HV Systems to current legislation and codes of practice for various type of buildings based on client brief & guidelines
  • Ability to work independently on various electrical calculations and power/ lighting/schematic mark-ups as per project requirements
  • The role will involve regular communication with the client and taking on design responsibilities on project types like commercial, residential, retail, laboratories & hospitals.
  • The role would involve understanding codes & standards local to project location and utilising the latest & industry leading software.
  • The role would require the right candidate to take on a leadership role with the potential of growing a team reporting to them.

Requirements

  • Ability to independently communicate with clients, stakeholders, leaders and peers in written and spoken English
  • Ability to independently create electrical design mark-ups and perform calculations
  • Ability to display Leadership skills and mentor Junior Engineers with respect.
  • Ability to get trained on and work on newer Electrical Design Software
  • Ability to undertake offshore visit to clients’ offices, if required, for detailed training and one-to-one sessions.
  • Display of positive attitudes like flexibility, collaborative nature and empathy.
  • Willingness to accept and implement constructive feedback.
Qualifications & Experience Required
  • B.E. / B. Tech / M.E. / M. Tech Degree in Electrical Engineering with relevant technical qualifications.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in designing of electrical systems for commercial, retail, hospital and residential projects.
  • Experience of using any Electrical Design Software for carrying out electrical calculations.
  • Experience of having worked on AutoCAD for preparing Electrical design layouts.
  • Experience of using MS Office
  • Proven experience of having successfully managed Client communication independently.

Requirements
This position involves working within the Special Projects Team at XS CAD’s Global Delivery Centre in Andheri, Mumbai. The team consists of skilled professionals, including architects, 3D visualisers and structural engineers with varied experience. The Revit Modeller will be responsible for the overall architectural and interior design deliverables, working directly with leading architecture design consulting firms from the UK, USA, Australia and the UAE on flagship projects. Key Roles and Responsibilities: This position involves working in a team of architectural ceiling Revit and CAD designers for a variety of international architectural ceiling BIM and CAD design development projects for commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, retail and institutional sectors. This role involves working on high-profile projects and requires: Understanding various architectural ceiling design elements and their various detailing requirements Working with the team and delivering architectural ceiling and interior design documentation projects within time, budget, and quality required Working efficiently in Revit and being comfortable with its main functions Good spoken and written English skills will be an advantage. Qualification and Experience Required: Draftsman in architecture/interior design/civil Minimum 1 year working in an architectural drafting/design environment using Revit 2+ years of BIM experience can also be considered.
