Compositor

Responsibilities:

  • Experiencein handling simple to complex compositing tasks including 2Dtracking Blue/Green screen extractions Roto and Cleanupwork.
  • Good experience in Roto and Prep will bean added advantage.
  • Experience in compositingphoto realistic images of highquality and skills to composite 2D/3Delements with theinput.

Requirements:

  • 5years of experience in VFX production in a similarposition.
  • Good working knowledge of Nukesoftware.
  • Developed artistic skills and a goodeye and good knowledge color light (reflection refraction shadows)perspective and composition.
  • Excellentorganizational and communication skills.
  • Workethic focused on team effort ability to perform multiple tasksprioritize and solve problems.

CompLead:

Responsibilities :

Theprime responsibility is towards the show (Efficiency DeliveryDeadlines and Feedback)
Has to identify training needs andskill level matrix
Responsible for verifying time cardentries
Responsible for assigning subtasks in guidance ofthe Supervisor
Interact with Production Team for scheduleManagement
Assist immediate sups with getting contentlined up for Dailies. Responsible of timely completion forDailies.
Actively engage in doing and completing complexshots
Show leads may take the role of artist at thesuccessful completion of their shows until they are assigned thenext show.

Comp Supervisor:

Responsibilities:

Work withthe VFX Supervisor Leads and the Head of Compositing to define thecreative and technical approach for the show
Identifyareas of R&D required for the show
Work withProduction to manage the day to day running of theteam
Work with Production to evaluate artist schedulesensuring they are realistic and achievable
Attend deskrounds with all members of the team on a regularbasis
Attend dailies sessions with the team to givefeedback/approvals
Meet with the Leads on the show on aregular basis to identify inefficiencies or technical problems withthe toolset and pipeline and put in place a plan of action toresolve such issues
Help bid on the compositing componentof shows
Set supervision assistance asnecessary
Define and split comp work intosequences
Define the number of compositors needed to workon each project and pick the number of leads toassist
Develop the look and technical setup for eachsequence this will involve
Assign shots to appropriatecompositor according to ability and sequencedelineation
iIdentify and organize creation of showreelmaterial (breakdowns)
Participate in Post Mortem toidentify problems that occurred on show and offersolutions
