Experience 

At least 1 to 3 years of experience as a SOC or Security Analyst, with a total of 2 to 4 years of experience.
Great communication skills and a positive, learning attitude
 
Responsibilities
  • Investigate incidents using SIEM and UEBA technologies, packet captures, reports, data visualization, and pattern analysis.
  • Analyze, escalate, and assist in the remediation of critical information security incidents.
  • Improve and challenge existing processes and procedures in a very agile and fast-moving information security environment.
  • Security analysts should have good knowledge of: Information security policies and goals, Log analysis and event traffic patterns, the current IT threat landscape and upcoming trends in security
  • Monitoring and analysis of cybersecurity events with the use of Firewall, IPS, Endpoint protection, DLP, and other tools.
  • Execution of SOC procedures
  • Triage security events and incidents, detect anomalies and report remediation actions.
  • Analysis of phishing emails & malware reported by internal end-users 
Qualifications:
  • Relevant training in SIEM tool, System Administration, Networking, and/or Security
  • Certifications preferred - equivalent of CompTIA Security+
  • Ability to demonstrate foundational knowledge on one or more of IP networking, Routing & Switching, System Administration, Information Security
  • A genuine passion for Information and Cyber Security
  • Current SIEM experience/certifications would be a distinct advantage
