JR51704 Design Quality Engineer
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
As Design Quality Engineer at Micron Technology, you will be responsible for supporting Global Design, Simulation and Substrate teams through developing and maintaining Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA) and align with Global Quality standards that ensures product quality & reliability goals are met throughout the product life cycle. This position would also ensure FMEAs align with latest technical standards (AIAG -VDA), that are produced efficiently, identify potential technical risks, Design Optimization actions, Risk mitigation plans which are seamlessly integrate with product, and process development activities, are properly structured and published in corporate database. Overall, this role demands a seasoned design quality knowledge who has the robust understanding on both FMEA & QMS facing work and its associated quality standards.
Roles & Responsibilities
Support Product and Design teams developing and maintaining Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA). Strong Knowledge on SOD (Severity, Occurrence & Detection) criteria & Risk priority numbering (RPN). Sound knowledge on DFMEA preparation per Design intent & demonstrate the effective risk mitigation methodologies during NPI process. Strong Experience in Facilitate DFMEA phase gate review meetings with cross functional teams to ensure that all the risks have been reduced and/or mitigated. Strong Knowledge on AIAG-VDA FMEA Standard Strong Knowledge on NPI process & Product life cycle management through a notable PLM (Preferably Teamcenter) Good Knowledge on ISO9001, ISO/TS 16949 standards & Proficient with ISO-26262 Functional Safety (FuSa) principles Act as effective problem-solving SME by using 8D methodologies in finding root cause investigation, containment actions, implement corrective and preventive actions. Work closely with other functional groups to meet the needs of handling product and/or process quality throughout manufacturing processes (incoming until outgoing), including customer return. Knowledge on 3rd party audits and certifications including follow-up to closure of all related observations, improvements, major and minor non-conformance corrective, and preventive actions. Promote a high standard of awareness and understanding at site level of all appropriate policies, procedures with Implementation of training programs associated to quality management system awareness. new start inductions Etc. Strong knowledge of DFA, DFM, DVP&R, PPAP, GD&T, Tolerance analysis, Engineering Calculations and other product development-associated techniques and tools Proficiency in Engineering Change Management (ECM), & APQP process. Preferred Certifications:Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE)
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) IATF 16949 Internal & External Quality Audit knowledge is an added advantage.
Qualifications & Skills Required
Bachelor’s or a master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in the area of Design Quality, QMS & DFMEA preparation Strong knowledge on NPI process and Product reliability methodologies Strong Knowledge on AIAG-VDA FMEA Standard & demonstrate effective risk mitigation plans. Preferred to have a background of semiconductor packaging & its associated quality standards. Demonstrated ability to effectively present to both small and large groups. High level of proficiency and experience in using AquaPro/EwIMS platforms to prepare, Publish & integrate the FMEAs. Basic knowledge on IT/Quality Database systems and their continuous improvement methodologies Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication, and organizational skills. Strong Team player & willing to help peers as needed. Ability to lead & mentor small cross-functional teams.-
