JobDescription: 1) FashionForecasting: Analyze the market andmonitor current fashion trends collections customer preferences andcompetitor activities. Develop and lead newcategory for the company. Identify targetmarkets for designs looking at factors such as age gender andsocioeconomic status. Forecast fashion for theseason and give guidelines to the stakeholders in designteam. 2) ApparelDesign Plan and create new designspost getting concept guidelines from Creative Director for Look ofthe Season/Special collection/eventsetc Set clearly defined guidelines and planthe design range as per sales budget. Ensuredesigns are at par with the current market trends and in line withBrand Philosphy. Ensure precise designs areoffered in order to maintain high design success rate and achievetargets. Coordinate with Fabric Department andin charge of Team of Pattern makers Tailors cutting masters etc forsample making and end to end coordination for finalproduction. Lead and provide overall creativedirection to the brand by conceptualizing and developing range fordifferent seasons Ensure desirable level ofdesign approval ratio and give regular feedback in order to makeclear decisions on the design range.
3) Innovation Ensure seasonal freshness of the collections in tune withinternational benchmarks and trends to drive brand as an innovativefashion leader. Promote new concepts designssystems and out of the box thinking for product innovations andprocesses. 4) MarketResearch Analyze the market andmonitor current fashion trends collections customer preferences andcompetitor activities for fashion forecasting and give broaddirection to individual brands Create themesfor different seasons and provide the seasons theme brief to themarketing and visual merchandizing team
5) Adherence to design calendar & SOPand maintaining OTIF Monitor theactivities of the design team to ensure delivery of designs as perdesign calendar. Responsible for strengtheningthe design & merchandising process and ensuring SOP is adheredfor smooth delivery of the product.
JobRequirement:
a) Overall Experience:3 years of experience into Fashion Design.
b) IndustryExperience: Experience in Pret / Ethnic / Embroideries.
c) Educational Qualification: Post Graduation.
d)Technical Skills Required: Wellversed with adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/Coral draw Innovative ability to thinkstrategically.
