The role of the Deal Desk Analyst is to act as a trusted advisor to the sales and technical delivery team(s), working as the primary point of contact amongst various business areas , and constructing how non-standard deals should work. The Deal Desk Analyst typically makes sure that deals are correctly constructed, guides teams to best pricing to maximize revenue, and addressing the complex details involved in a non-standard contract process to make certain the deal is completed promptly.

Key Role and Responsibilities:

Responsible to construct and maintain a master view of deal pipeline informationCollect, compile and validate pipeline information received from internal stakeholdersProvide periodic updates to internal teams for visibility on upcoming service activation requestsAnalyse pipeline information at regular intervalsDocument and provide analysis to relevant managers to derive resource planning for supported technologyIdentify demand of new technologies from analysisWork with internal stakeholders to do a preliminary of resource sizing for new technologiesReview effort sizing with internal teams before submitting to internal Commercial team for further analysis of deal viabilityServe as an expert in Deal Desk activities, which impact quota setting, bookings attainment, and deal structuringServe as the trusted advisor to the Sales team on deal structure and quoting, advises the team on alternative contract options, and/or value propositioning to help drive deal closureProvide general assistance and advice on common deal questions and Quote to Cash process questionsCollaborate with impacted parties to identify acceptable options to facilitate deal closurePartners with Sales Operations and Sales Systems teams to facilitate process and system improvementsProvide weekly reporting to DCS Executives on deal governance demand and activityCapture end-to-end solution / service design and P&L for every deal that enters the Deal Assurance gatepostRecord and maintain a log of bespoke solution / services and who has signed-off from DCS stakeholders before contract signature. Alert DCS stakeholders once the deal is won.Create win/loss analysis and provide regular updates / reporting to DCS Team on common trends.Oversees the revenue assurance process

Knowledge, skills and attributes:

Demonstrated ability to partner with Go-To-Market teams and other cross functional departmentsGood understanding of revenue recognition rulesHighly organized, customer-focused, innovative and strong attention to detailsExcellent communicator, self-aware, transparent, professional, and open to feedbackAbility to multitask and prioritize at times of high volume, schedule flexibility during End of Month, End or QuarterAbility to prioritize and effectively manage distractionsStrong quantitative skills and highly proficient in sales tools and software

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field of study

Experience required:

Deal Desk, Order Management, Finance Operations, Sales Operations or Pricing experience preferredDemonstrated experience in Direct and Channel Sales model is highly desirable
