Job Role:

1. Lamp and Plastics parts development and evaluation

2. Failure analysis in Lamps and Plastic parts

Level : SE/AM/DM

Education Qualification:

B.E./B.tech in Mechanical/Polymer

Diploma/CIPET in Polymer/Electrical Technology

Work experience:

B.E./B.tech : 3 to 5 years

Diploma/CIPET: 7 to 13 years

Job Responsibilities:

> Knowledge of manufacturing process of Lamps and Plastic molding parts.

> Lamps, Plastic part evaluation & failure analysis.

> Technical guidance to vendor for Electrical (Lamp/PCB etc),Plastic parts manufacturing process.

> Knowledge of Polymer Material Testing (Material Characterization / Mechanical Properties / Thermal Properties / Environmental properties etc.)

> Plastic , PCB , Wiring harness processing and material technical know how should be available. 

> Part & Process evaluations preferable for new product development.

vAnalysis of Part Quality issues & countermeasure planning.

vNew product development activity planning

> Planning for zero defect production lines setup at Vendors.

> PFMEA and required actions planning with vendors.

> Advance Quality planning for new parts development.

Competency/Skills:

> knowledge of plastic , 2k molding manufacturing process and best practices in similar industry.

> Knowledge of Lamps and the principle of lamp working, Lamps manufacturing

> Expertise in checking fixture design & concept generation.

> Good understanding of raw material spec & usage areas.

> Analysis and root cause identification of Quality issues of plastic & Lamps parts.

> Practical application of Quality Control Tools, including theoretical background of SPC, Analytical tools and Six sigma.

> Working Knowledge of Tools / Dies & various inspection aids (gauges /Jigs / Fixtures / Test Rigs, Etc.).

> Clear & Good communication skills.

> Ability to work in lean, multi tasking environment.

> Ability to handle the product & situation independently.

Specific expertise for functional area:

> Should be well versed with various Lamps, their manufacturing process and their parts like Wire harness, PCB

> Should be well versed with various Plastic ( 2k , 3K ) manufacturing processes like Moulding, etc.

> Having experience in Automobile Industry

(4/2 wheeler / LCV ) & Electrical (Lamp /PCB ) , Plastic maker, Polymer Industries

> Knowledge about the checking fuxture concept

> Computer environment proficiency is essential for proper Documentation, presentation and its data retrieval. (MS office).

> Openness & positive attitude to work in team

> Good understanding of Failure /Root cause analysis
