Reference Data_Associate

The Index Calculation Agent team (ICAT) in Mumbai is responsible for the daily valuation of fixed income instruments included in the JP Morgan’s global fixed income flagship benchmarks, covering both developed and emerging markets. The team manages and runs the index calculation engine used for daily and monthly index operations, client reporting and publication generation. The team is also responsible for tracking market events, affecting bond price movements. The team to create and maintain instrument and static data and perform Index rebalancing and pricing of the asset.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES

 Objective:

Control daily production and ensure the timely delivery and the quality maintenance. Constant review of existing process and procedures to identify the area of weakness and enhancements to increase the efficiency and controls. Interaction with Service groups, Clients, IT dept.’s, Business Support, Pricing Vendors, etc. Training and support to staff on all aspect Involvement in local and global projects

Job Responsibilities:  

Control the production to ensure timely delivery and maintenance of quality Monitor key tasks closely and ensure that they are performed on time. . daily, monthly tasks. Internal escalation of all risk factors and potential issues are communicated to seniors and escalated to Dept. manager. on a timely basis. . delivery, quality, service, relationship, staff issues. Act as first point of contact for business team in respect of daily valuation critical activities Review and sign-off of production. Focus on deliveries In depth understanding of procedure and operational background Continuous review of existing process to identify the area of development Continuous review of procedure to maintain adequate controls. Maintenance and management of MIS. Ability to cover an extended hours operation as required. Participate in the various Process Improvement Initiatives

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Should have good financial knowledge and background Should have 10-12 years of experience Previous experience in managing teams Should have fixed income bonds and Index rebalance knowledge Strong analytical/problem solving skills and attention to detail Monitor systems for related job success and resolve issues by working with technology teams Prepare and send daily pricing and market impact summaries with supporting market news Generate and maintain month-end Index rebalance and composition reports by garnering information on new bond issuance and auction/buy-back activities
