RolesandResponsibilities:
- Conceptualizedesign and develop automotive trim components and systems includingbut not limited to interior and exterior trims door panelsinstrument panels consoles and decorativeinserts.
- Utilize ComputerAided Design (CAD)software (e.g. CATIA SolidWorks) to create 3D models assemblies anddetailed drawings of trim components.
- Conductfeasibility studies and analysis to assess the manufacturabilityfunctionality and performance of designconcepts.
- Collaborate with styling engineeringand manufacturing teams to translate design intent intomanufacturable components while ensuring compliance with regulatorystandards and customer requirements.
- Generateengineering documentation including technical specificationsdrawings and bills of materials (BOM) to support prototype andproduction activities.
- Conduct design reviewsand participate in crossfunctional team meetings to evaluate designprogress address technical challenges and implement designimprovements.
- Support prototype buildactivities by providing engineering support troubleshooting designissues and coordinating design changes asnecessary.
- Perform tolerance analysis FiniteElement Analysis (FEA) and simulation studies to optimize designsfor performance cost and weight targets.
- Stayabreast of industry trends emerging technologies and advancementsin materials to drive innovation and continuous improvement in trimdesign.
- Ensure compliance with company policiesprocedures and quality standards throughout the design anddevelopmentprocess
